while running in the background the demo version uses 1.1Mb of system memory ouch! no other app that I have installed in my phone uses even half of that.

What tool are you using to measure this? I have a feeling it's probably inaccurate.

We just did our own testing of the memory hit caused by SecureMe running in the background and there is only a very slight addditional memory usage caused by the application. I think you're using a bum memory testing tool.

I'm just using Best Taskman, I make it list all the background processes, and for SecureMe it says that it uses 1076 Kb (~1.1Mb)

What other (maybe better) tool do you suggest I use to check memory usage?

We typically use Y-tasks w/ the tracer pluginto gauge the memory hit of our apps.
