new feature for SecureMe 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi!

I was looking for a software like SecureMe. There are many on the market but I like SecureMe features, especially this:
- Receive notifications of all Call & SMS activity while device is in "attack" mode (but screen and keyboard are NOT locked)

I will try it in the next days.

Did you think about adding the option to send also camera shots from both front and back camera when call is in place in "attack" mode? This could give additional information.

Thanks,

alfonso

Hi Alfonso,

We'll be adding just this feature into our "Tracer" application soon (as well as sound recording, call recording and other device activity info). We may add a few of SecureMe's features (except for device lock down of course) into Tracer - so we'll have a true Anti-Theft app with SecureMe as well as a Device Activity/Tracking/Spy app with Tracer. Both will also have some GPS features soon.

Cheers!

Hi,

thank you for your reply.

Sorry to use this thread, but I cannot find the correct "room" regarding SecureMe.

I wanted to test SecureMe, so I installed it, changed some settings and then put a new SIM card in the phone.
After starting the phone, I saw for few seconds an alert from SecureMe. I had no time to answer it, since the alert disappeared automatically.
This is not good, since the application should not reveal itself.
Also, it didn't have any effect. I set the attack timeout to 1 minute but the Secondary number got no SMSs.
After a while (> 10 mins) I tried to enter the application with the code (that I changed) but I couldn't open the application. Also #5555 didn't work.
SIM Change Attacked was enabled, but all other settings in that screen were set to disable (I don't want the potential thief to be aware).
I tried to reboot the phone with the "thief" SIM, but again nothing happened. The question from SecureMe didn't appear anymore during boot.
So I put back the original SIM card and still I couldn't access the program.
In App Manager SecureMe is present and is Installed (in phone memory).

I have an N80 v 5.0719.0.2

Any idea?

Thanks.

Regards,

alfonso

More than likely you didn't enable autostart in the application which is critically important to do. Regarding the flash of the app on reboot (this can happen the app is starting up or not) do you have quite a few other autostarting apps?

KM

Hi.

Thank you for your help.

I thought I set the application to autostart.

What if I didn't? Is there any way to correct my mistake?

About the many application autostarting: how would I check?

Thanks,

alfonso

Hi Alfonso,

You would need to reinstall to get the application back. You can check the application settings to confirm if the application is set to autostart or not.
